As Head of If Creative Agency you will be tasked with building a truly Nordic, data driven and agile Inhouse Creative Agency. This role demands an individual who is digitally adept, who knows how to spark and foster a creative environment and can build and lead an agile creative organization. In close cooperation with the Chief Marketing Officer, this role is responsible for merging three local Inhouse agencies into one high-performing Nordic Creative Agency. Inhouse agencies exist in NO, SE, FI and we have 2 “creative” FTEs in DK. The creative talent will remain local and each team will have a local team lead, reporting into the Head of If Creative Agency.
The team is expected to deliver the best of centralized efficiency and local cultural knowhow, building a core team supported by freelance skills to ensure agility. The team will be working as the main creative executional partner to our external lead agency, progressively taking on more responsibility as the team develops. The team also handles internal creative production of marketing communications material for all Business Areas.
The If Creative Agency, consists of approximately 30 team members, including local team leaders, production managers, art directors, designers and copywriters.
Main areas of responsibility:
• Responsible for building a world-class Nordic Inhouse agency
o Development and implementation of a new agile organizational structure
o Responsible for setting up and managing a talented freelance pool, securing the necessary skills for contemporary, timely and high-quality deliverables
o Development and implementation of clear roles and responsibilities
o Development of clear work-processes and reporting structures
• Responsible for team and talent management
o Working with the team to set a clear vision, ensuring everyone is working towards the common goal of becoming a world-class Nordic Inhouse agency
o Responsible for competence mapping and team development, securing we have the right skills and capabilities in place for a creative and collaborative environment
o Responsible for performance management and ensuring clear individual targets, evaluating both creative delivery as well as efficiency of the work done
• Responsible for the creative delivery from the team
o Securing optimal cooperation between the Inhouse agency and external agencies
o Ensuring that all creative concepts and marketing communication material delivers on the new position and the new communication concept
o Ensuring internal client satisfaction through an efficient and service minded attitude and a skilled delivery
o Effectively balancing internal requests with available resources in order to optimize delivery from the team
o Facilitating sharing and lessons learned within the team and with Marketing as a whole
• Responsible for Budget Management
o Securing the optimal use of the department’s resources across the Nordics.
o Responsible for the internal funding model
o Providing business cases, where relevant, to optimize the balance between the work done by external agencies vs the Inhouse team
• Responsible for driving the digital development of the Inhouse agency
o Ensuring that the team has the relevant system and tool support to work in an agile and data-driven manner
o Responsible for needs assessments, working together with IT to secure the right tools are in place for project management, digital assets management as well as smooth information sharing
o Ensuring that the team has the relevant systems and skills working with DMP, Banner flow and other data driven tools.
• Other Duties:
o The Head of If Creative Agency also performs other duties as he/she deems necessary in the execution of his/her duties and other duties as delegated by the Chief Marketing Officer or the employer.
The ideal candidate
As a Head of If Creative Agency you need to be an outstanding leader and a reliable, independent manager. The position needs an inspirational person with a positive attitude; always willing to push things forward.
As the department will go through a change journey towards a new Nordic way of working it is critical that the new Head of If Creative Agency has excellent management skills, being receptive enough to see what needs to be done from both a business perspective as well as an employee perspective.
You are structured, process oriented and well organized with a strong ability to prioritize and drive projects. You are proactive and see problems before they arise, always presenting solutions instead of problems. You are service minded with excellent interpersonal skills. You have a passion for good communications and you take great pride in your work. You are respectful of others, and you conduct your work with a high level of integrity.
– Min 7 years experience as a manager, preferably more
– Min 5 years experience from managing teams of AD, graphic designers and copywriters
– Experience from organizational development, preferably an Inhouse agency
– Experience from managing large budgets and internal client relations
– Experience from leading a digital transformation journey for an inhouse agency
– Experience from setting up and managing a freelance pool. An established network of creative talents is valued
– Experience from commissioning work from other agencies or freelance talents
– Working on several world class brands
