Nasdaq is now looking for an Head of Marketing & Communications, Europe to lead our efforts in the Nordics. This position will be based in Stockholm, managing a team of 5-7 employees in Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Denmark. The role will report to the VP of Marketing and Communications in the US.
You will coordinate and develop the efforts of three teams: Corporate Communications, Marketing and Web/Digital – across our various business units.
Key to this role is the coordination of people, initiatives and processes of the local teams in Stockholm and broader Nordics. We are seeking a collaborator and leader – someone able to forge and unite a strong team, work collaborative with our businesses, partner with sales and support personnel and drive coordinated strategy and execution in the region.
It is imperative that this person can shift between Marketing and Communications – understanding and driving our brand, messaging and strategy across the organization.
While coordinating the efforts in Stockholm to promote and raise awareness of our core business messages and manage corporate reputation among our key audiences and constituents you will work closely with senior executives, such as the Head of the Exchanges in the Nordic region on a strategic and operational level. You will collaborate with the business lines to develop targeted messaging and proactive media relations and thought leadership campaigns, conducting spokesperson media training, overseeing media relations efforts and hosting media events. You will coordinate with colleagues in the US and UK, and will be at the centre of the information flow, acting as a gatekeeper, prioritizing and handling the media.
You will be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing plans for new product launches in the Nordics and Europe. Your focus will be on positioning, branding, strategy and tactical planning and execution. You will proactively support the sales organization to roll out new products and services to new customers and the existing customer base. This includes writing customer materials, presentations, proofreading and editing copy for all marketing materials. You will also provide support for a variety of events and our webs presence. Focus on direct marketing and events critical.
Din profil / Your profile
– 10-12 years of relevant managerial experience in a business-to-business, multi-country or global environment
– 10-12 years experience from corporate communication
– Excellent language skills in written and spoken English and Swedish, another Nordic language is a merit
– A documented interest in the finance or fin-tech sector and a good network within the press and media
– Experience managing a multi-country team
– Marketing experience – Events management, brand, lead generation, sales support, content creation and distribution, social media,
To excel in this position you are a communicative and self-motivated person who is used to working with senior management. You take the initiative and you are a proactive, energetic and business-minded person. To perform well in this role you must enjoy working in a high speed and international environment. Furthermore, you need to be flexible and able to adapt to new prerequisites since Nasdaq is a dynamic and fast-paced company in an ever changing industry.
