Job description
World Water Week 2023 - held in Stockholm and online August 20-24, 2023 - will focus on innovation at a time of unprecedented change. On a hotter planet, all sectors of society need to undergo massive transformations and rethink how they manage water. World Water Week offers an invaluable platform to collaborate on this gigantic challenge, drawing on the latest scientific knowledge, cutting-edge technology, and experiences from around the world. Together we can solve the water crisis and make water a powerful tool to tackle climate change, reverse biodiversity loss, fight poverty and strengthen food security. The theme Seeds of Change: Innovative Solutions for a Water-Wise World invites us to rethink how we manage water. The Accelerator programs are co-produced with our lead partners and will take place leading up to and during World Water Week. The Business Accelerator and Communication Accelerator are programs of content and activities curated by World Water Week together with strategic partners. The Business Accelerator highlights the importance of effective private sector leadership on water issues while the Communication Accelerator produces trainings and programs on water for journalists and communicators.
The project Support will support and collaborate with the Project Manager lead in the 2023 Accelerator program framework and implementation.
The intended period of contract is March 1 – October 31, 2023
Project Support, World Water Week Accelerators Key responsibilities:
- Support and collaborate with the Project Manager
- Copy writing
- Research
- Note taking
- Reporting
- Administrative and event support
Your profile
The right candidate has experience and feels comfortable in the areas below:
- Have experience with private sector/NGO collaborations (mandatory)
- Have demonstrated experience with similar project execution
- Have writing/event/program experience
- Understand the private sector’s potential to be part of the climate and water crisis solution
- Understanding or interest in water and climate issues
- Be fluent in written and spoken English (mandatory)
