About the position

As the Shopper Insight Manager, you will leverage research and data analysis to deepen our understanding of categories, consumers, customers, channels and shoppers. Your insights will drive informed decisions across product development, marketing, category management & revenue growth. You will be our key expert in research techniques, methodologies, and KPI definition for shopper insights.

What you will do:

  • Develop Shopper Foundations: Create a comprehensive framework for Paulig, covering universal principles observed during shopping experiences.
  • Create Shopper Profiles and Insights: Initiate relevant shopper research to guide marketing efforts, product development, category, revenue and customer growth.
  • Support Research Initiatives: Develop guidelines and support Business Area Category and Revenue Growth teams in conducting shopper research.
  • KPI Tracking & Data analysis: Define and track relevant shopper key performance indicators (KPI). Identify meaningful patterns and trends from multiple data sources.
  • Support Category Vision: Contribute to the Category Vision process through shopper research and foundational insights, managing assigned projects.
  • Data-driven recommendations: Provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders based on gathered insights.
  • Build Competence Centre: Help develop world-class shopper competencies within Paulig.
  • Utilizing advanced research tools: Secure data transparency and tools for best possible decision making

You will be based either in Mölndal, Solna, Roeselare or Nieuwegein and report to Human Insight Director and be part of a great team. You will also communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders and empower them to grow.

Your profile

What we expect from you

  • At least 8 years of experience from shopper insights in FMCG (food and beverages), such as market research and analysis (quantitative and qualitative studies) in an international context.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise with Retail and Household panel data, utilizing advanced research tools & methods such as shopper segmentation, virtual stores, shopping missions, path to purchase analysis, data modeling, Power BI and self-serve analytics. A strong interest in innovative research techniques & KPI tracking methods is essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyse complex data from multiple sources and derive actionable insights.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated experience in translating insights into strategic business opportunities.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to drive change and lead oneself effectively.
  • Leadership: Experience in leading and developing research initiatives in collaborative, relationship-oriented mindset, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate complex insights to various stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner. Fluency in English.
  • Adaptability: Ability to stay updated with and curious about innovative research methods and industry trends.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in commercial science, market research or a related field.
