Job description

Our Sports Marketing Coordinator will be an important part of the global marketing team, reporting directly to the Head of Global Sports Marketing. In this role you support the Global Sports Marketing Team in various projects in their daily work.  As a Sports Marketing Coordinator, you will also assist the Global Sports Marketing department in maintaining strong relationships with athletes, ambassadors and teams. You should have a strong passion for POC´s key market sports and have an interest in learning the details of the full product line and technologies, so you can be able to communicate this to athletes, ambassadors and external parties.

As a Sport Marketing Coordinator you will undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the Global Sports Marketing department, such as: entering orders, following tracking for shipments, ability to organize/maintain inventory of sample products. Therefore, you should have an orderly and structured disposition to be able to follow-up on where the products are, with which supplier, and make sure that the products arrive at the right place at the right time.

The role includes owning and managing a global athlete event calendar and coordinating with regional managers on global events that require athlete attendance. The role requires availability to attend key events to support competing athletes and act as a brand representative. In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring athletes' activity on various social-platforms. You will also assist with Global Sports Marketing influencer relationships and help in the coordination of activation plans for athletes in alignment with digital marketing, social media and other marketing programs. Finally, you will be able to assist in the coordination of athletes related product development processes.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has a great interest in snow and/or cycling sports. You do not need to practice yourself, but it is required that you learn and stay updated about our communities and what the different sports are all about. In addition, you have a great interest and knowledge in the teams/ athletes that participate in these types of outdoor sports. You pay attention to the latest trends in the sports and you´re able to recognize an athlete´s individual style and preferences.

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• Preferred if you have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications, but not necessary
• Able to balance a workday connecting with counterparts in various global time zones
• Detail oriented, organized and solution focused
• A positive attitude and an openness to help people
• Motivated and reliable
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment; able to multitask
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Knowing keynote is a plus!
• Savvy with social media and other relevant community platforms
• Great interest and good knowledge for partners/athletes in the snow and bike world
• An eye for details and ability to match different products with different POC's ambassadors and athletes
• Self-motivated and have the ability to quickly make decisions on your own  
• Good English skills, both written and verbal
